Preschool Program

video

Mya had her spring preschool program on Tuesday, April 28. I was unable to attend so Keith videotaped most of it. Here is a video of her favorite song--the Totty Ta. It is the second one on here. She has great rhythm and concentration which can not be said of all the students ;)

Girls/Boys Day

Noah helped Daddy get some wood chips for the front yard.

Mya and I watch a short movie and then made dinner. Mya learned how to peel a potato.

Mya is learning to ride a bike! Amazing!

Noah can keep the scooter upright this year!

Well, for the most part!

Oh, and this is what they were dancing around in one morning. Gotta love that!
*Ahhh, Yes*

That explains how the Easter grass got all over the house.
Well, not entirely but one explanation.

A Testimony of God's Leading

I have shared that the Bilbys have accepted referral for Jada. I was blessed to be aware of the referral prior to the official acceptance. Becky gave me a call the first day but I was not available and missed the call. She called again the next day to tell me. I was in shock since they had just been through this a few weeks prior. It was a tough time watching them grapple with the decision. Jada's condition is rare, to say the least. It comes with many scary possibilites. I am thankful God has given them peace in making her part of their familly. You can read the whole story on their blog http://www.bilbybunch.blogspot.com/ -- Go to part one to get it in the right order.

If you feel a tug at your heart to help them bring Jada home, please click their donate button and drop a couple bucks into their piggy bank.
The trip from OC, Iowa to Changshu, China is about 6700 miles. If we find 6700 friends to give $1, they will be well on their way to bring home Jada. Thank you.

Announcement

I am happy to share that our friends, the Bilbys, have accepted the referral of a nearly 3 yr old girl whom they will call Jada Faith.

In other news, Noah has finished 3 sessions of evaluation at the International Adoption Clinic. They seemed to focus on his English language skills. His understanding is good but his articulation is delayed. (I already knew that.) They will tell us next week what action needs to be taken. We also need to go to the eye doctor and hand specialists again in June. I have not had him do any physical therapy for his hand. His usage has not changed since surgery. I am wondering if the hand specialist will recommend rotating his thumb a bit. Another surgery is not something Noah likes to hear about but we will do it if it will help with his gripping.

Mya is being a typical big sister. Teaching Noah all her ways. They play well together most of the time. They have been playing outside a lot this week. I can tell both have grown because they nearly don't fit in the little jeep anymore. Time sure does fly. It was just 4 years ago that we came home with Mya.

Easter Truth

Daddy took the little kiddos to Wally World (Wal*Mart) on Friday morning. It was packed but he was able to get the evil Easter grass (that stuff is all over now) and some assorted Easter candy, including the traditional solid chocolate bunny.
I have not done Easter bunny stuff in years, for a number of reasons but primarily because, in my opinion, it takes away from the true celebration of the Resurrection.
This morning, as Mya was sawing the ears off of her bunny with a butter knife, she looked at me and said something about God dying on the cross and raising again being the real reason for Easter. So I asked why and she said to save us from our sins.
Wooo Hooo! The truth shines through!
